The Shenandoah District aims to invest in the lives of pastors, both spiritually and emotionally, so they can thrive in their unique ministry contexts as they go after our collective mission to seek and save the lost through Jesus.
We have created a NEW partnership with Converge Coaching and MyCounselor.Online. These programs offer each pastor opportunities for growth, accountability, and support in the realms of soul care, personal development, and mental wellness.
Partnership Resources
Offerings for Senior, Lead, Appointed Assistant Pastors
- The SWD will cover 6 sessions of coaching or counseling per year at a discounted rate of $140 per session
- The SWD will cover 80% ($112) of each session, and the pastor is responsible for paying the remaining 20% ($28 per session)
- This offer applies to Senior, Lead, Appointed Assistant Pastors, and their dependent children. Each Pastor and Leader is limited to 6 total covered sessions. Additional sessions can be continued, but the pastor would be responsible for 100% of the cost after completing the original six sessions. ($140 per session)
- All coaching and counseling will take place online
- This benefit will start October 1, 2025

Counseling / Therapy
Focus:
Counseling provides a safe space and practical direction for exploring your feelings, understanding patterns, and addressing various emotional or relational issues.
Topics Might Include:
Anxiety, Depression, Marital Conflict, Teen Struggles, Sexual Difficulties, Porn Use, Grief, etc.
Relationship:
A professional, therapeutic alliance between a licensed counselor/therapist and the client.
Coaching
Focus:
Coaching focuses on growth and performance to help you achieve specific outcomes in your personal or work life.
Topics Might Include:
Burnout, Stress Management, Proactive Soul Care, Personal and Leadership Growth, Transition Planning, Sabbatical Prep, etc.
Relationship:
A collaborative partnership led by a trained and certified coach, supporting the client’s personal or professional growth.
Mentoring
Focus:
Counseling provides a safe space and practical direction for exploring your feelings, understanding patterns, and addressing various emotional or relational issues.

HOW DO I SIGN UP?
Converge Coaching will operate as a liaison for the SWD for coaching as well as counseling through MyCounselor.Online.

Can I continue working my previous coach or counselor?
If you or a family member needs to continue with your existing counselor, SWD will provide the same benefits as before, for up to one year. We encourage you to transition your current counseling during that time to the new provision.
How will my privacy be protected?
We value your privacy and confidentiality. Therefore, Converge Coaching will operate as our liaison, handling all aspects of your information. The SWD will not know anything about your counseling / coaching sessions.
What happens once I use all 6 sessions?
If you or a family member would like to continue the counseling or coaching relationship after you have used the 6 sessions covered by the SWD, you can continue at the discounted rate of $140 per session.
