Rev. Janet Guthrie

District Superintendent

Rev. Janet Guthrie served as the Interim District Superintendent from July 2024 to July 2025. Upon retiring from the Property and Casualty Insurance Brokerage world, she now focuses on serving Him in His Kingdom. One of the areas of focus is encouraging women of all ages throughout the Roanoke Valley and connecting with them in various ways. Janet met her husband, Tim, at Salem Wesleyan (Abundant Life), and they enjoy the mountains, the seashore, and quiet mornings drinking coffee. In fact, Janet enjoys visiting coffee shops, journaling, playing the piano, and hanging out with family and friends.

Matt Reynolds

Assistant District Superintendent

Pastor Matt Reynolds is a third generation Wesleyan pastor, 2004 graduate of Indiana Wesleyan University, and has served as the senior pastor at Emmanuel Wesleyan Church in Roanoke since August of 2020. He loves to preach the Word, cast vision, and lead the local church. He has a heart for evangelism, loves to see the faith being passed down from generation to generation in families and in the Church, and enjoys spending time with other pastors. Prior to serving at Emmanuel, Pastor Matt served 2 other churches in the Shenandoah District holding different positions at each church. He has also served on the DBMD and the DBA. Originally from Michigan, Pastor Matt is a huge fan of all Detroit teams and the University of Michigan. He and his wife Samantha have 2 grown sons and a son, Brady, still at home.

Kylee de Pineda

District Administrator

Kylee has been serving as the District Administrator at the Shenandoah District Office since 2021. She is also the young adult leader at First Wesleyan (Roanoke). She grew up in Western New York and graduated in 2010 from Houghton College with a degree in Educational Ministries with a concentration in Youth Ministry and minor in Bible. Kylee met her husband, Josser, at First Wesleyan, and they were married in August 2013. They enjoy traveling and have made numerous trips to local and western National Parks to witness God’s amazing creation.
